Frequently asked questions
Answers about the scope and limitations of the independent calculator.
Are the results official?
No. Results are simplified estimates for planning only. They are not official tax calculations, tax advice, or a substitute for payroll or a tax return.
Which deductions can be included?
Depending on the country, the model may include national income tax, regional tax, and employee social contributions. The country guide identifies the items included in its model.
Why does my payroll result differ?
Payroll usually uses personal circumstances and employer-specific information that this tool does not collect, including filing status, dependants, credits, benefits, pension deductions, and local rules.
Where does the tax information come from?
Each country has a listed official tax authority source. Browse the full source directory or open a country guide to see the source used for that model.
Does the calculator work offline?
Core tax reference data is bundled for offline use. Currency rates may use a cached value when a live refresh is unavailable.
Does the site store salary details?
The website calculator does not require an account. Avoid entering information that you do not want processed in your browser session. See the privacy page for the current storage and advertising disclosure.
How often do tax rules change?
Tax rules can change by tax year and jurisdiction. Check the relevant official source before relying on any estimate.
